Every day they inch slowly away from view and the thought of curling up to try to reach them makes my lungs hurt. But yesterday, after a summer long defiance, I painted my toenails. Red. And that is going to be the most action they get until March.
We missed church yesterday.
And the announcement of that, made my kids a little too excited.
A fist pump and a "Yes!" isn't exactly the reaction I was expecting. I wish I could say that Sundays were relaxing and dreamy like I picture in my head but I always end up getting mad at every single person. And last Sunday, during Sacrament, when I wouldn't give Bronson more crackers he showed his disappointment in this note I found in his drawing book:

"Mom does not like Bronson."
Over crackers.
I can't imagine what he would write if I grounded him from his friends.
Needless to say, the weekends of greeting the day at 11:00 in the afternoon, laying in bed and watching crappy TV until you decide to get up and go grab some food from Taco Bell, are gone.
I won't be seeing them anytime soon...
but if you do, tell them I'm super mad they left me.

7 Splendid Notes:
There is a whole lot of love between you and your feet, just think of the little miracle you get to look at every time you look down. Also, I might have to agree with Bronson, crackers are pretty darn important :)
But really, why do Sundays have to be so difficult? Anyway, if Bronson thinks he has it bad he should try coming to church with me... I'm the evil mom who doesn't bring snacks or activities... I make my kids sit and listen...some weeks are better than others, but thats how it is for anyone.
PS...cute belly! :)
I am laughing over that note! Poor kid. Hahaha. Also, your belly is adorable. Miss you! <3
awh that note breaks my heart! haha but it's so funny too :) You're a great mommy! feet or no feet ;)
Oh the note breaks my heart :( you look great though mama!
awww it's all worth it thought, right? :) just a different season of life. I actually try to be deliberately thankful for the peaceful weekends we have just me and my husband because I know it won't always be like that and it's easy to take for granted!!
