We remember.

I forever have the image of a man jumping out of one of the Twin Towers engraved in mind. I couldn't then, and I can't now, imagine the desperation and the decision to choose your death.

Fire or free fall.

Honestly, I can't imagine any of it. It's one of those few things that you think you know, but really you have no idea unless you were there. I do know that I will forever respect those brave souls who lived it that day.

I also know, that in these last ten years I have learned what it's really like to be American. To love this country and what it's like to get choked up at the National Anthem. To see people form together and fight for the same thing. To wave the flag proudly. There is no better place than here.

And 9/11 taught me that.
